If you prefer a quieter, more cultural holiday, you should go to Château de Valmy. Built at the end of the 19th century, it is surrounded by a beautiful park and vineyards that create a postcard-like, picture-perfect view. Take a walk around the castle and follow the many designated paths to get as close to nature as possible. Don't forget to bring a packed lunch and enjoy some fresh air in the shade.
If you've got children with you, make sure you take them to Eagle Park, located near the Valmy Castle! You and the kids are guaranteed to have a wonderful time. The park is full of fascinating birds of prey that will leave you stunned. You'll find an array of species such as parrots, vultures and crows. Argelès-sur-mer is a 2 km long rocky coast, with 8 km of white sand and two nature reserves. In this former fishing village there are more than 60 campsites close to the beach. Tourists are super enthusiastic about this area, as they can take part in the various local activities. There are also guides to help campers discover all the secrets of the region and taste local products, such as anchovies and wines. The choice of campsites is varied, but make sure you book in advance, as spaces sell out really quickly!
