Beverly Hills is also home to the legendary Rodeo Drive, which stretches for about three kilometres across the city. From Beverly Hills, it's not far to Mulholland Drive, a breathtaking road that winds 34 kilometres through the magnificent Santa Monica Mountains. Sensational views and a great feeling of freedom make this road a highlight - especially if you are travelling with a campervan.
The coastline around Los Angeles is also exceptional and gorgeous. The same goes for the beaches where the waves crash. The most famous beach is probably Venice Beach, which you have probably seen on a postcard. Muscular sportsmen and women, surfers and families alike share the beach. The weather in Los Angeles is shaped by its location on the Pacific coast. Some cool winds blow inland from the ocean, which cools down the often very high temperatures.
