RV rental in South Africa - Take a Camper to Adventure

South Africa is a country of sweeping landscapes and great diversity, both geographic and cultural. It's one of the most popular travel destinations in the world, especially for those who love nature and adventure. The majority of visitors are European or American, but many come from around the globe. There are several ways to explore South Africa by road. RV rental is an excellent option. You can choose your own itinerary and stop wherever you want to take photos, hike or just soak up the scenery.

An RV allows you to get closer to nature and experience the country at your own pace. With a little planning, you can create an unforgettable trip. The best time to visit South Africa is between October and March when the weather is dry and mild. However, this is also the busiest time of year so try to avoid peak season if possible. Prices for accommodation and activities tend to be higher during this period. April to September is the rainy season but it can still be a great time to visit as prices are lower and there are fewer crowds.

When driving in South Africa, always carry your passport with you as well as proof of insurance. Be aware of local traffic laws and drive on the left-hand side of the road. South African roads can be in poor condition so drive carefully and plan your journey in advance. Take plenty of water with you as petrol stations can be few and far between in rural areas.

RV rental companies will provide you with all the necessary paperwork, maps and information about camping grounds and attractions along your route. They will also give you a list of things to see and do while you're in South Africa so you can plan your trip in advance. Make sure you research each destination thoroughly before setting off so that you're not disappointed when you get there!

Holiday with an RV in South Africa - the perfect round trip!

An RV holiday in South Africa is the perfect way to see everything that this beautiful country has to offer. You can explore the stunning coastline, visit the world-famous Kruger National Park, and experience the vibrant cities. There is so much to see and do, and a campervan gives you the freedom to explore at your own pace. Here is our suggested route for a campervan holiday in South Africa:

Start your journey in Cape Town, where you can explore the vibrant city and visit the iconic Table Mountain. Then head south along the Garden Route, stopping off at beaches, national parks, and towns along the way. Make sure you visit Knysna, Mossel Bay, and Plettenberg Bay. Next, head inland to Oudtshoorn, where you can see the world-famous ostrich farms.

Then continue north to George and Mossel Bay. From here, you can either head east to Kruger National Park or west to the Cango Wildlife Ranch. If you choose to go to Kruger National Park, you can spend a few days exploring this vast game reserve.Spot lions, elephants, and other wildlife on game drives, and stay in one of the many campsites within the park.

If you head west to the Cango Wildlife Ranch instead, you can see tigers, cheetahs, and other big cats up close. You can also walk with lions and take part in elephant encounters. After your time at Kruger National Park or the Cango Wildlife Ranch, continue north to Johannesburg. Here you can explore the city and visit some of the nearby townships.

Then it's time to start heading back south towards Cape Town. Make sure you stop off at Stellenbosch and Paarl on your way back down the coast. These two towns are famous for their wines, and there are plenty of vineyards and estates to visit. Finally, you'll end your trip with a tour of Cape Town. Explore Robben Island and Table Mountain, as well as the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and Signal Hill.
